Bella Nova Choir brings its eclectic repertoire, including a mix of modern chart toppers, show tunes, classics, favourites and jazz to the Spirit of Newfoundland stage.  Directed by well known local musician, Elizabeth Brennan, the Choir brings lush voices and vibrant energy to their performances.  Always supportive of the community, Bella Nova hosts the annual World Singing Day in October, and regularly participates in Christmas choral events that support local food banks and charities.

This year we are thrilled to collaborate with the acclaimed Abra Whitney who will be presenting her own set as well as singing with Bella Nova. A sought after performer, she is a frequent collaborator with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra and Opera on the Avalon, and has enjoyed working on stage with Ta Da! Events, Atlantic Light Theatre, Theatre St. John’s, and Best Kind Productions. She has also produced her own performance series featuring the music of Nina Simone, Edith Piaf, Gladys Knight and the Pips, and Broadway Musicals, and most recently was a featured performer at the Majestic Theatre’s show “Rumour Has It”-The music of Adele. Abra holds a BMus in Vocal Performance and an MMus in Choral Conducting from the University of Alberta. 

Also appearing will be our gifted accompanist, Jenny Griffioen, and a vibing Jazz Trio comprised of Frank Fusari, Brad Jefford, and Jacob Slous.
