Screech-in

Come From Away—Leave an Honorary Newfoundlander!

The Screech-In is one of Newfoundland’s most celebrated traditions! If you’re a CFA—a “Come From Away,” as we affectionately call anyone from outside the province—you’ll learn our local sayings, taste authentic Newfoundland Screech, kiss the cod, and hear colourful tales from our past.

Surrounded by laughter, warm hospitality, and true Newfoundland culture, you’ll earn the prestigious title of Honorary Newfoundlander—and have a grand time doing it!

Our Regular Screech-In Season Has Wrapped Up! Planning a Group Screech-In?

Although our daily ceremonies have concluded for now, but we can still arrange private group Screech-Ins by request. Come and experience this unforgettable Newfoundland tradition!
